you'll need 
9" deep dish pie shell, thawed
4 large eggs
2 1/4 C. whole milk
2/3 C. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
pinch of salt
pinch of nutmeg

How to make it
Place the pie shell (do not prick it) on a baking sheet and bake it in a 400 degree oven for 5 minutes. Remove and let it cool for 5 minutes. Meanwhile, whisk together the remaining ingredients. Place the pie shell on a baking sheet lined with tinfoil (to catch any that might spill over) and pour the filling into the pie shell. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes, lower the temp. to 325 degrees and bake for 45 to 50 minutes longer. Let cool completely before slicing.
